Description
Our Poret® replacement filter sponges with a 17 mm hole diameter in a set of 2 are suitable and fits as replacement filter sponge for Aquael Pat Mini Filter and many other type.
The filter sponges are suitable as protection against the suction of small shrimp or fish, or as a pre-filter for coarse dirt particles, or for colonization with filter bacteria.
Available with fine filter foam with 45 PPI (shrimp baby safe) or middle filter foam with 30 PPI.
Due to the open-pore structure, the Poret® replacement filter sponges offer a very large surface area for colonization of the filter bacteria.
The amount of surface area the filter creates makes a great feeding surface for shrimp and fish. Microorganisms on the sponges surface making it an ideal place for shrimp and fish to find natural food.
The replacement filter sponges have the following dimensions:
– squared: 5 x 6 x 10.5 cm
– hole diameter: 17 mm, but not consistently
– Depth of the hole: approx. 8 cm
– colors: blue or black
– pore density: 30 PPI (medium pored) or 45 PPI (fine pored)
– each in a set: 2 pieces
